Nice! It’s so rare to see a Pajero/Montero/Shogun/Raider (God this thing had too many names) that doesn’t have any mods. Are those wheels stock? They look like second gen alloys, but I don’t know what the Raider was delivered with. What happened to the carpeting?

One of the only things I can think of with more names is the Suzuki Sidekick/Suzuki Vitara/Chevy Tracker/GMC Tracker/Geo Tracker/Pontiac Sunrunner/Asuna Sunrunner/Mazda Proceed Levante.
The wheels are stock, they’re the same as on some L300 Delicas
Years ago when my friend had it in high school, it had an interior leak in the drivers footwell when it raining heavily (which is about every second day here when it’s not the summer), so after trying and failing to track it down, he just pulled the carpet out of the front so he could soak up any water and not let it rust the floor. I have the carpet, once I’m sure it’s not leaking anymore, I’ll probably put it back in

Huh, I had never seen a L040 with those wheels, only V20s. Maybe a US/EU spec thing.
As for the leak, I had one under the gear lever console when driving in the wet stuff. I unbolted the screws, put sealant between the rubber boot and the car body, and reassembled it. Solved the problem for me.
Is the front skid plate missing?

Ooh that is good to know, I’ll keep that in mind.
The front one is on, but the mid one is off because the oil was just changed. The RV tow bar up front might be throwing you off

That’s it! I wasn’t expecting that. These things are kinda illegal in Europe

That’s where most of this ones kms came from, being towed behind an RV between Alberta and California

Better than my 4D56, I recently upgraded it to 95 horses of fury!
In my memory, the 2.6 had the most glorious sound. I still have a pair of badges lying around from the one we parted out some years back

Yup, one of the borders of it I suppose. It’s Burrard Inlet

Nice! I imagine the torque and decent fuel economy is good though.
I quite enjoy the sound, especially with just a cat and a glasspack, the runoff sound is hilarious. I’ll have to try and video it sometime
